Born in the tough neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York, Michael Gerard Tyson already had his share of trouble. After run-ins with the police and expulsion from high school, Tyson was taken out of reform school by boxing trainer, Cus D'mato. D'mato, who had previously trained Floyd Patterson (who Muhammad Ali nicknamed "The Rabbit") and numerous others, saw great potential in Tyson. Under D'Mato's guidance, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in heavyweight history.
